Coalition under pressure as Sheikh Nasser meets blocs Next govt to include some opposition members

KUWAIT CITY, April 4: Pressure is mounting on key coalitions such as Popular Labor Bloc, the National Alliance, National Labor Bloc, and the Development and Reform Bloc to participate in the new cabinet and run affairs in three or four ministries.

This follows HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah’s meeting with several members of the parliamentary blocs, reports Al-Moustaqbal daily quoting sources.
The same sources expect a parliamentary government to be formed to ensure cooperation among the executive and legislative authorities.

They consider the next government will include some members in opposition, as well as independent representatives to guarantee its continuity. However, the pro-government MPs will be retained in the National Assembly to support the government’s interests.

Meanwhile, sources refuted claim that MPs Yousef Al-Zalzalah and Hussein Al-Huraiti may join the next government because they have been members of previous governments, sources added.
Meanwhile, political activist Nabila Al-Anjari recently slammed those who are against the reappointment of Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as prime minister, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Wondered

Al-Anjari wondered why some lawmakers and politicians, who are supposed to have an in-depth knowledge of the Constitution and defend its articles, are trying to violate the constitutional right of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to appoint the premier. She argued these people should not be involved in procedures beyond their jurisdiction.  She said they must support whoever the Amir appoints as prime minister and render dedicated service to the nation, instead of threatening to submit interpellation requests.
Confirming she trusts the wisdom of the Amir in selecting the right person for the prime minister post, Al-Anjari asserted Sheikh Nasser had remarkable achievements during his tenure but the actual problem is the endless political conflicts that impeded the development efforts of the government and served personal interests. She also appealed to the lawmakers and the whole Kuwaiti nation to unite and ensure the successful implementation of the development plan.
