Ahmadi police nab Pakistani liquor trafficker Asian shepherds caught drunk

KUWAIT CITY, April 4: The Ahmadi police have arrested a Pakistani man for trading in liquor, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Pakistani was driving a vehicle in the wee hours of the morning and a police patrol on duty in Mangaf suspected the man and ordered him to pull over.
However, the man tried in vain to escape and when police seized him, they found in the car 90 bottles, 1.5 liters each of locally-manufactured liquor.
The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the authorities.

Drunk shepherds: Police have arrested five Asian shepherds for drinking alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
It has been reported after drinking alcohol two men were involved in a fight and one of them complained to his sponsor.
The sponsor called the cops and when the latter rushed to the spot, they found the men were under the influence of alcohol.
All the men have been referred to the authorities. The incident happened in Mutla’a.

Army officer jailed: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti Army corporal to three years imprisonment for attempting to steal ammunition boxes from military camp, reports Al-Anba daily.
The court also sentenced his alleged accomplice to three years imprisonment and ordered him to pay KD 1,000 fine to suspend the sentence.

Iranian sought: Police are looking for an Iranian man for ‘stealing’ money from his Kuwaiti sponsor, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports, the suspect works for a Kuwaiti man selling dates. In a complaint to the police, the Kuwaiti said the worker sold dates worth KD 1,300 and has disappeared with the money.

Lankan cheated: Police are looking for an unidentified person for cheating a Sri Lankan man and stealing his money, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports, the suspect called the victim and informed him that he had won KD 30,000 prize money. The victim fell for the ploy and as requested sent him KD 480 in the form of prepaid telephone cards.
After cheating the man, he is said to have switched off his cell phone.
