New-born baby found dumped under car parked near mosque Iranian wanted for spying still at large
KUWAIT CITY, April 2: A new-born baby was found beneath a car parked near a mosque in Sulaibiya Friday morning. The man who found the baby was surprised when he saw the baby under his car, and he placed a call to the Operations Room to report the case. The baby was in good condition, so paramedics took him to the Farwaniya Hospital.
Heroin seized: An Asian man was apprehended by Hawalli patrolmen in possession of heroin, after police spotted him walking by the roadside and called him for checking.
The man is said to have tried to escape but police pursued and conducted a search on him, in the course of which they found heroin. He was referred to the concerned authority.
Spy missing: An Iranian identified as Ali Ramadan bin Carey and said to be involved in the Iranian spy cell is still at large, an informed military source told Al-Anba daily.
Bin Carey reportedly worked for the Kuwait Naval Force at Mohammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base for 30 years and was expelled and deprived of end-of-service payments. “Bin Carey is one of the key elements in the network,” said the source, adding “he might have left for Iran via sea.”
Chase for drugs: Police are looking for an unidentified person who rammed his 4-wheel drive vehicle into a Syrian youth’s car, forcing the latter to crash into a lamppost on the Arabian Gulf Street, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, police was chasing the unidentified man for his suspected involvement in drug trafficking and he was driving at a very high speed in an attempt to escape. It was during the chase that he crashed into the Syrian’s vehicle.
Paramedics offered treatment to the Syrian on the site, say sources, adding traffic movement was blocked for sometime on the road due to the accident.
