Manhunt launched for 3 in Srilankan maid kidnap, rape Wife beaten in public
KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for kidnapping a Sri Lankan housemaid while she was in front of the sponsor’s home in Jahra, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspects allegedly drove the woman to an apartment in Fahaheel and raped her successively.
Foul play seen: A Pakistani man who informed police that his brother was losing consciousness has been arrested and referred for interrogation, reports Al-Rai daily.
This is because when police and paramedics rushed to the spot they discovered the man looked to have been ‘tortured’. It appeared his fingernails had been pulled off and there were traces of beatings on his back and head. It also looked like someone drilled a hole in one of the fingers.
The informer also looked confused during initial interrogations and it was obvious he was hiding information.
Liquor bags seized: The Ahmadi pol-ice have arrested an Asian man for trading in locally-manufactured alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the man was arrested on suspicion because he looked confused when a police patrol passed by his car while driving in a suburb of Fahaheel.
Police ordered the man to pull over, searched the car and seized from his vehicle 278 polyethylene bags filled with liquor.
Wife beaten in public: Police have arrested an unidentified man for beating his wife in full view of the people at a traffic signal, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to eyewitness reports the man allegedly got out of his vehicle, dragged the wife from her seat and beat her mercilessly.
Acting on information a police patrol rushed to the place, arrested the man and referred him to the authorities.
