Two Kuwaitis fight over a girl Asian gets death in girlfriend’s murder

KUWAIT CITY, March 29: The Criminal Court sentenced an Asian man to death for the pre-meditated murder of his compatriot girlfriend.
Case files indicate the suspect called his girlfriend, informing her about his financial problems. He later picked her up and they visited one of his friends. After the visit, he invited her to have a cup of tea in his house. The victim gladly accepted the invitation without knowing that he put pesticide in the tea to kill her. 
The session was presided over by Judge Adel Al-Saqer.

Two fight over girl: Two Kuwaitis who were stabbed during a fight over a girl have been admitted to a hospital, reports Al-Rai daily.
The incident happened in Mahboula. According to reports two youths loved one girl and both of them were involved in an argument over the right to love the girl.
The argument ended in a fight and both of them summoned their respective friends for support. Police are looking for the suspects.

Rental firm loses case: The Court of Cassation revoked the payment of KD4,000 to a car rental company for failure to provide a client with proper legal information.
Case files indicate the company sued the client for refusal to pay the said amount for leasing a car even if he signed an agreement. 
Attorney Zainab Al-Ramezi, who represented the debtor, based his argument on Article 169 of the Kuwaiti civil and commercial procedures.  The article stipulates that the decision of the court should be served personally to the debtor. 
However, the ruling becomes null and void once the proper announcement is not made within six months.

Caretaker abused: An unidentified Egyptian caretaker of a residential building has filed a complaint with the police accusing three cross-dressers of verbally abusing him and assaulting him, reports Al-Anba daily.
In his complaint the caretaker said this happened because he did not allow these persons to enter the building.
The Egyptian has provided police description and the car plate number of the suspects.

Absconder nabbed: Police have arrested an unidentified 40-year-old Kuwait man who had been sentenced in absentia in a drug-related case for two years imprisonment and for possessing 20 drug pills, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to security sources the suspect was caught on the Jamal AbdulNasser Road. He was initially arrested for driving a car with tinted glasses. When police ordered him to pull over, they discovered he was under the influence of drugs. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Passport, cash stolen: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a case with the police accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his home in Qairawan and stealing KD his passport and KD 2,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint the man said the thief broke in when he was out visiting friends with his family.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints. Police are looking for the suspect.

Farmhouse looted: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his livestock pen in Wafra, reports Al-Anba daily.
The thief is said to have escaped with goods worth KD 5,000.

Juvenile hurts kids: Police have arrested an unidentified juvenile who allegedly lost control of his vehicle, mounted the footpath, drove into the garden of a house and hit four children, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the juvenile is 14 years old and he allegedly escaped from the scene of the mishap after causing the accident.
However, police combed the area and managed to arrest him. Without going into more details the daily said the suspect has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
