Bangladeshis top illegals - 104,826 sought
KUWAIT CITY March 29: Statistics issued by the Ministry of Interior show the number of expatriates violating the residence law has reached 104,826, reports Al-Rai daily.
They belong to various nationalities including Bangladeshis, Indians, Sri Lankan, Egyptians, Filipinos, Pakistanis, Nepalese, Syrians, Ethiopian, etc. The list is headed by the Bangladeshis at 25,000. The lowest on the list is Ethiopia with 8,000.
In an unrelated development, a Bangladeshi man died in a tragic accident on the Fahaheel Expressway, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Bangladeshi was reportedly driving a cement mixer truck and lost control of the vehicle when pebbles came flying at his windshield from the rear of a truck which was moving in front of him.
In an attempt to avoid being hit by the pebbles the victim lost control of the vehicle which crashed into the facade of a house. The Bangladeshi jumped out of the vehicle but died on the spot when he hit the ground with force.
