Notice period

I have been working for a local company for the last 4 years and now it wants to terminate me without any notice period. Is this legal?

Answer: According to the law, both sides are requested to give a 3-month notice unless they reach a mutual agreement to reduce it or do away with it. But this can only be done if both sides agree to it. However, if one side doesn’t agree and wants a 3-month notice, the other side can get past this problem by paying an amount equal to the salary of the notice period.
