Thai restaurant in Ahmadi offering food & foreign liquor

KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Ahmadi police raided a Thai restaurant in the area and arrested a number of Asian workers and customers, reports Al-Anba daily.
Acting on information that the restaurant offers serves food as well as alcohol and even provides home delivery service, a police agent called the restaurant and ordered food and two bottles of local liquor. Police arrested the delivery man as soon as he came to deliver the food and drinks and raided the restaurant. A number of restaurant employees and customers were arrested and police seized several bottles of imported and local alcohol.
Later, the Municipality checked the quality of food at the restaurant and it was found unsuitable for human consumption.

Indian liquor traders held: Ahmadi police arrested two Indians for trafficking in local alcohol and recovered 10 cartons containing 120 bottles of liquor from their car, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police patrol on routine duty in Fahaheel noticed the Indians standing beside a car parked in an open ground. The suspects, on seeing police, attempted to escape, but they were caught and arrested. The contraband and the traffickers have been referred to authorities.
Meanwhile, police have arrested an Asian man for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
The trafficker was arrested during a buy-bust operation while selling 10 grams of heroin worth KD 220 to a police agent with marked police money.
Armed with a search and arrest warrant, police then raided the house of the trafficker and seized 140 grams of heroin.
The contraband and the trafficker have been referred to authorities.
