30,000 Bedoun kids to be issued birth certs
KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Birth certificates will be issued to more than 30,000 Bedoun children in the next two months, reports Al-Anba daily quoting Director of the Central Registry of Births and Deaths Administration in the Ministry of Health Rashed Al-Azmi.
Al-Azmi clarified the children will undergo DNA tests to verify their parentage, because a long time has elapsed since their birth without obtaining a certificate. He confirmed this action is legal and families will be charged KD 85 per child for the test.
