Man illegal for 8 years arrested with liquor bottles

KUWAIT CITY, March 25: An unidentified Asian bootlegger who was caught with nine bottles of locally-manufactured booze by the Farwaniya police during a routine duty in Hassawi has been referred to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
It has been reported the man has been living in the country illegally for the past eight years.
The daily added the man was spotted by the patrolmen carrying a bag and when he saw the cops he allegedly tried in vain to hide.

KD 4,800 stolen from pharmacy: An unidentified thief broke into a pharmacy in Farwaniya and stole KD 4,800, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to a security source, the theft was discovered by the man in charge of the pharmacy when he opened the door.
He immediately informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and the department sent personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department to lift the fingerprints.

Car broken into, KD 1,000 stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified thief who allegedly broke into the car belonging of a Kuwaiti man and stole KD 1,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In his complaint to the police the man said the car was parked in front of a cooperative society in Salmiya.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

3 held for drinking alcohol:
Police have arrested three men for allegedly drinking alcohol, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to reports the men were riding in a car with tinted glass and police became suspicious because when they saw the police patrol they allow the patrolmen to overtake their vehicle.
However, the police ordered the man to pull over and when an officer walked up to the men to check their identity he got the smell of alcohol.
Police are also said to have seized from the men one bottle of alcohol and referred them to the concerned authorities.
