Fake police robs Asian; Police hunt couple Asian illegal caught selling pot
KUWAIT CITY, March 22: An Asian expatriate violating the residency law was apprehended by patrol officers for the possession of 7 bags of marijuana plus an unspecified amount of money in Mangaf area.
According to sources, the officers discovered the suspect held no valid residence permit, as they checked his details on computer. They went ahead to conduct a search inside his car and found the contraband. He was referred to the concerned authority without delay.
In another development, Farwaniya patrolmen arrested an Asian expatriate with 70 sachets of local brew at a checkpoint in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The Asian is said to have confessed to trading in liquor at low cost, so the officers referred him to the relevant authority.
Police hunt couple: Police are looking for a young couple for committing immoral acts inside a car in Keifan, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the couple was seen by an unidentified person who informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
When police rushed to the parking lot of a kindergarten school in the area, the couple sensing trouble had escaped from the area.
The caller then provided police with the number plate of the car.
Foul play suspected: The remains of an unidentified Syrian woman who died inside her home have been referred to Forensics Medicine to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the death was discovered by the victim’s son. However, police have not ruled out foul play.
Meanwhile, the Al-Shahed daily said a 70-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming a large dose of medicine.
The son added when he saw his mother lying unconscious, he raised an alarm. He also said there was a handwritten note next to her in which she thanked her sons and daughters and apologized for causing them inconvenience.
Fake police robs man: Police are looking for an unidentified ‘securityman’ for allegedly assaulting an Asian man and robbing him of KD 300 and newly-purchased Iphone, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Asian has filed a complaint with the Salhiya Police Station. In his complaint the man said he was walking along a road and the policeman asked him to show his ID.
He then allegedly dialed a number and pretended he was talking to his superior, ordered the man to enter his car, drove him to an open ground, beat him and stole his money and the Iphone.
Students without licence: During a traffic campaign in the vicinity of the Fahd Al-Salem High School for Boys in Salwa, police are said to have impounded 19 cars from reckless motorists and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said all those arrested are students and they were driving cars without license.
The cars have been towed to the Municipality garage at an unidentified location.
Theft in ‘royal’ firm: Police are looking for unidentified burglars who allegedly broke into the site office of a company in Murqab owned by a member of the ruling family and stole equipment worth KD 3,500, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Sheikh has filed a complaint with the Salhiya Police Station.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Workers blamed: A Kuwaiti owner of a beauty salon in Sulaibikhat has filed a complaint with the police accusing two employees of stealing make up kits and massage tools from the company premises, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
She also said KD 500 and diamond rings are missing. She added she strongly suspects the two employees.
