Stabbed 20 times Stabbings, brawls see steep rise
KUWAIT CITY, March 21: A Kuwaiti in his 20s sustained severe injuries and bruises in various places of the body when he engaged two compatriots in a public brawl at Sulaibikhat. Paramedics rushed the victim to Sabah Hospital for treatment while his attackers fled the scene. Police have registered the case for investigation.
In a similar incident, a 22-year old Kuwaiti was stabbed and wounded in the left part of his lower back during a fight with unknown persons in Hawalli. Rescue officers and paramedics took the man to Mubarak Hospital for medical attention.
Some Asians stabbed a 47-year old compatriot in a fight at Ahmadi. Rescue officers realized that the man was in critical condition so they rushed him to Adan Hospital for treatment. The case has been registered.
Meanwhile, in Kabad, a Bangladeshi sustained a deep cut in the forehead when he fought with some Asians. Based on a distress call the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received in that regard, a rescue team arrived at the scene and referred the injured person to Farwaniya Hospital for medical care.
Stabbed 20 times: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stabbing a Kuwaiti youth 20 times during a fight, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The youth has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital in a serious condition.
Death cheated: Two military men working for the Border Security Force escaped certain death when they accidentally drove over a land mine while they were patrolling the northern part of the country, reports Al-Shahed daily. The men escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, during a campaign against traffic law violators police are said to have locked the wheels of scores of cars which were parked in ‘No Parking’ areas near the Kuwait Stock Exchange market, reports Al-Anba daily. The locks are removed after paying KD 20 fine.
