Burgan Bank sponsors ‘P2BK’ Forum Burgan Bank recently sponsored, the “Proud 2 Be Kuwaiti” (P2BK) Forum which was held under the Patronage of H.E Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait.
The four day event, which began from March 16th — 19th at the Mishref International Exhibition Fairground, provided a platform to showcase a wide range of accomplishments done by young aspiring nationals across various sectors that include business, special needs, and social accomplishments. As a sponsor, and part of its corporate social responsibility pillar, Burgan Bank reinforced its commitment to providing a helping hand to the community and continuously developing their skills.
Bashir Jaber, Burgan Bank’s Acting Chief Marketing officer said: “Burgan Bank has always been an advocate of promoting positive change and development of the community. This latest initiative comes as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility of playing a stronger role in the development of the society, be it in the field of education, health or special needs.”
The bank plays an active role in supporting the youth, by hosting various university students at its premises and familiarizing them with the day to day working of the banking industry.
As part of the bank’s annual CSR initiative the bank hosts the Al Mass Awards, where it recognizes the success and achievements of special needs individuals and organizations that are working towards the development of this particular segment of the society.
The bank has been providing practical assistance and support for the past nine years with an aim to create a robust atmosphere amongst individuals as well as organizations. P2BK was set up by a group of professional Kuwaiti individuals with the aim of providing a structured forum for Kuwaiti youth to meet and interact with experienced professionals.
