Burgan Bank, amongst the leading and most dynamic commercial banks in the state of Kuwait announced today its sponsorship of the American University of Kuwait’s Arabian Heritage Project, “Al Kout Festival”, which was held on March 15-16 at the university’s premises. The event, which was patronized under Dr Moudhi Al-Homoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education, aimed at promoting and nurturing the true heritage of Kuwait through a wide range of interactive activities.
The two-day event, which was attended by a large number of guests along with great student involvement, included a wide selection of educational as well as cultural programs that were devoted to raising more awareness and enriching the Kuwaiti identity, and providing a sense of what life was like in Kuwait’s history. The event included activities such as games, music, crafts, literature, community traditions, folklore, and poetry.

Burgan Bank Acting Chief Marketing Officer Bashir Jaber said: “Al Kout Festival is a great platform for showcasing Arabian heritage and raising public awareness of the rich traditions of the Arab world. We are extremely proud of the young students who have participated in this year’s event. Such initiatives allow us to relive an iconic cultural aspect of our honorable heritage.”
The Arabian Heritage Project, Al Kout Festival, is a social event that is primarily focused on promoting and fostering culture across the peninsula.
