Newborn baby found dumped

KUWAIT CITY, March 17: A newborn baby boy was found dumped recently near a garbage bin in Block Two, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
Securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the location after the Operations Room received a call from a passerby who saw the baby. The paramedics referred the baby to Farwaniya Hospital and investigations are underway to identify the parents

Salon worker in theft: A Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint at Sulaibikhat Police Station against an employee at a women’s salon in the area for allegedly stealing her mobile phone and some cash.
The woman told police she left her handbag in the reception area but was surprised to find her phone and an undisclosed amount were missing after having a haircut.
A case was registered and the salon employee will be summoned for interrogation.

Youths in theft: The owner of a juice shop in an undisclosed location called the police after some unidentified persons broke into the store and carted away with KD 130 cash.
The complainant told police he was surprised when one of the workers at the shop informed him about the theft. The other employees said they found the door broken when they reported for work that day. When they checked the contents of the shop, they discovered the thief took KD 130 from the cash register. Police lifted fingerprints to identify the suspects.

Domestic fight: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Jahra police accusing his wife of using his civil ID without his knowledge to sponsor a maid from abroad, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
However, the wife denied the allegation and told police the husband is accusing her because of differences between them.

Iranians rescued: Resp-onding to an SOS the Coast Guard patrol boat rushed to an unidentified location in mid-sea inside Kuwait’s territorial waters and rescued five Iranians, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The boat of the Iranians was allegedly drifting due to mechanical failure. The daily did not give more details.

Husband steals cash: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband of assaulting her and stealing her money – KD 3,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A case has been registered at a police station. The husband will be summoned for interrogation.

Salmiya gang fight:
The Hawalli police acting on information rushed to a location near a private university in Salmiya and settled a quarrel between groups of youths, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
