Frantic screams save Filipino maid from abduction
KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Three men tried to kidnap a Filipino housemaid while she was on her way to a grocery store Monday. The miscreants alleged stopped their vehicle very close to her and two men stepped out and tried to bundle her into the car. However, when the maid started shouting loudly for help, the men ran away.
The maid’s Kuwaiti sponsor filed a complaint at Andalous Police Station. Securitymen have noted down description of the vehicle and the suspects and circulated the information to all check points.
Teen stabbed: A Kuwaiti youngster was stabbed in the hand by his compatriot in Ferdous area. The injury was deep and the victim had to be rushed to Farwaniya Hospital, say sources, adding the other youngster ran away before the arrival of police. Both the youngsters are said to be below 18 years of age.
A case was registered and police are looking for the other youth.
Drugs seized: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man for consuming and possessing drugs in Umm Al-Haiman area. Patrols, on noticing his ‘abnormal’ condition, had stopped him while he was driving at a late hour and realized that he was under the effect of drugs. They also found one gram of heroin and syringes in his vehicle and referred him to authorities.
Driver steals cash: A Kuwaiti man in his 50s has filed a police complaint, accusing his Asian driver of stealing KD 600 from his house while he and his family were away. Police have circulated information about the Asian to all checkpoints
