Two held in 500 fils fight 2 Iranians held with drugs
KUWAIT CITY, March 13: Two cleaning company workers who were fighting over half a dinar have been arrested by police, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources a Kuwaiti motorist gave one of the men 500 fils to be shared by both men. However, one of them claimed the money was given to him and refused to share.
They fought with each other and ended in a police station.
Addict caught: olice have arrested an unidentified person wanted by law in connection with drugs-related crimes, reports Al-Rai daily.
The man was reportedly under the influence of drug and asked a patrol car for a lift to Nuwaiseeb.
The cops became suspicious when the man asked how much it would cost him to go to his destination.
Police then asked the man to show his ID and discovered he had been sentenced in absentia.
2 held with drugs : Officers from the Directorate General for Drug Control apprehended two Iranians in possession of 1.250 kilos of illicit drug after raiding their flat at an unspecified location. This follows the recent arrest of a Kuwaiti citizen and a Bedoun who were prevented from distributing 4 kilos of raw opium.
The two Iranians have since been charged with the possession of drugs for trading and consumption purposes.
