Barrels of local liquor found in Lankan woman’s Mahboula flat

KUWAIT CITY, March 12: Ahmadi securitymen arrested a Sri Lankan woman for manufacturing alcohol and referred her to authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said police were tipped-off that a woman was selling alcohol under a building in Mahboula. They then rushed to the place and arrested her in possession of three bottles filled with local brew. During questioning, the Sri Lankan admitted to manufacturing alcohol in her flat in Mahboula.  Police raided the place and confiscated eight barrels of brew, in addition to manufacturing equipment.

Who are they?: Securitymen are questioning an unidentified person who owns a camp in Juaia, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
State Security Department received calls from campers, saying some people dressed in black are holding a meeting in a camp and that flags with sectarian phrases on them were put up on the tents.
 Police rushed to the place and found people from Kuwait, eastern area of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain at the camp. The owner of the camp failed to give reason for wearing black clothes and police referred him to authorities.

Man swindled: Police are looking for a Kuwaiti man who allegedly swindled a GCC national to the tune of KD 1,525, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Kuwaiti persuaded the victim to start a joint business and when the latter paid his share, the swindler disappeared and even switched off his cell phone. A case has been registered at Fintas Police Station.

Indian assaulted: Police are looking for an Egyptian who assaulted an Indian restaurant worker in Khaitan, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Egyptian, accusing the Indian of serving him late, beat the latter with a big stick. The Indian suffered a deep cut on his head and was rushed to Farwaniya Hospital where doctors gave him 15 stitches.

Car plates stolen: Police are looking for a thief who stole number plates of three cars parked in front of a health club in Ahmadi, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the thief also broke the glass of one of the vehicles and stole a wallet.
