Cop thrashes inmates
KUWAIT CITY, March 10: An unidentified police officer allegedly beat five handcuffed inmates of the Central Prison for no reason when they were inside the Palace of Justice for a hearing of their case, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports one of the prisoners fainted as a result of beating. Soon securitymen rushed to the rescue of the prisoners and another officer took charge and asked the alleged officer to leave the place.
It has been reported it is not the first time such incidents have happened at the Palace of Justice.
Maid steals ATM, cash: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a case with the Nugra Police Station accusing her maid of stealing her ATM card and withdrawing KD 1,000 from her bank account, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police have asked to see the CCTV film of the bank from where the money has been withdrawn.
