KUWAIT CITY, March 10: An Asian office boy working at the Capital Immigration Department was arrested while trying to bribe an officer. The Asian reportedly wanted a visit visa to be issued and made the bribe offer to the officer. The officer asked him to come the next day with the money and in the meantime, he notified securitymen of the Immigration Department. The next day, securitymen arrested the Asian while he was giving the money and referred him to police station to interrogate and find out if other officers were involved in such illegal practices.
A source said strict action will be taken against any one found involved in such illegal acts.

Teens hurt in fight: Four youngsters - two Kuwaitis and two expatriates - suffered injuries in a fist fight they had in a parking lot in Hawalli area. They were reportedly trying to settle scores over an old problem.  The youngsters, all below 18, had to be referred to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. Sources say a security officer also suffered injuries while trying to settle the problem.

Gang of thieves held: Police have arrested a four-man gang for stealing power generators and ATVs (all-terrain vehicles), reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source the arrest came following complaints filed by residents of Jahra and when police found one of the stolen ATVs was offered for sale by a shop in the Jahra Industrial Area.
When police interrogated the salesman he gave details of the man who sold him the ATV. Police then set a trap for him and caught him when he came to the shop.
During interrogation he admitted to the charge and gave police the names of his accomplices. The thieves also said they sold the power generators for KD 7,000.
