Sponsor harasses Filipina maid Bedouns held begging in women’s dress

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: A 33-year-old Indian man committed suicide by hanging himself in his workplace in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
A team of securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the area after receiving information on the incident. However, the Indian was already dead when the rescuers arrived. His remains were referred to Forensics and investigations are in progress to determine the actual circumstances that prompted him to end his own life.

Beggars in female dress: Five Bedouns were arrested for disguising like women and begging for alms on Salem Al-Mubarak Road. Police noticed ‘female’ beggars on the road and went to take action against them. To the surprise of the officers, the ‘women’ sounded very masculine which prompted further checking and it was revealed that they were actually men dressed in women’s attire. Police arrested them and seized all money found on them.

Sponsor harasses maid: A 28-year-old Filipina housemaid lodged a complaint at Andalus Police Station against her sponsor for allegedly harassing her. The housemaid told police she had repeatedly asked her sponsor to stop harassing her; otherwise, she will report him to the authorities.  However, the sponsor did not take her threats seriously, so repeated the act, prompting the housemaid to report the incident to the police station.
The security officers will summon the sponsor for questioning to verify the housemaid’s claim.

Eve-teasers nabbed: Police arrested an unspecified number of Kuwaitis and a GCC national for harassing women on the Arabian Gulf Street. Sources say police, on receiving complaints from many women, rushed to the place and arrested the men. One of them allegedly tried to resist, but he was overpowered and referred to authorities along with the others.

Missing with rented car: A Kuwaiti, who owns a car rental office, filed a complaint at Farwaniya Police Station on Sunday against one of the renters for failure to return the vehicle on the agreed date.
The complainant provided police with the plate number and detailed description of the car to ease the search procedures.  Investigations are ongoing to identify the whereabouts of the renter and summon him for questioning.

Many hurt in fight: An undisclosed number of Kuwaitis suffered multiple injuries when a fight erupted between two groups of citizens on the Arabian Gulf Street recently.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location immediately after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received a call from a passer-by, who witnessed the incident. They referred the injured to Amiri Hospital. 
A case was registered and investigations are underway to determine the actual circumstances leading to the fight. Police are now looking for the other citizens involved in the fight to question them.

Man held with drugs: Police arrested a man for consuming and possessing drugs in Hawalli area. Police patrols on routine duty noticed a man in an abnormal state in a vehicle parked in front of a building at a very late hour and checked on him. They realized that the man was in a disoriented state and on checking the vehicle, found one gram of heroin and syringes.

Duo caught drunk: Police arrested two drunk Kuwaitis during national celebrations on the Gulf Road. The unstable driving of the man behind the wheel of a jeep caught attention of policemen who questioned him and his friend and realized that they were heavily drunk. Police also seized a bottle of imported liquor from their possession. One of them is in his 20s and the other is believed to be in his 30s.
