I came to Kuwait on a visit visa. During my stay, a private company (which sponsored me for the visit visa) gave me a job and obtained a work visa.
Is it possible to get the visa transferred without leaving Kuwait, or do I have to go to Bahrain and come back?

Answer: Unfortunately you cannot get your visa transferred in Kuwait. You have to leave the country and come back after getting the work visa attested by a Kuwaiti Embassy in another country. It is not essential to go back to your home country. You can simply visit Bahrain or any other neighbouring country.

Remember you have to get the visa attested and undergo a medical examination in that country. But if you came to the country on a commercial visit visa and are a university graduate then you can transfer to a work permit without leaving the country.
