Asian held running liquor factory in flat Kissing in open

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: An Asian expatriate was nabbed by security operatives for running a liquor factory inside his flat, and they confiscated 40 bottles of local gin ready for sale. This followed a tip-off the officers received about activities of the suspect. Guarded by a warrant from the Public Prosecution, the officers raided the flat and uncovered illegal activities he engaged in, besides the bottles of local brew. Later, securitymen learnt the suspect had been reported absconding. He was referred for prosecution.

Kissing in open: Security operatives on patrol off Shaab Beach apprehended a youth and a girl who were caught kissing in public. They were referred to the relevant authority without delay.

Peddler escapes: Police are looking for an Asian motorist who escaped on foot when patrol officers found 98 bottles of local brew inside his vehicle. Sources say patrol officers had stopped the suspect on Jahra Motorway and asked him to open the trunk of the vehicle for checking. While the officers were looking at the illegal merchandise, the Asian quickly crossed the road and slipped away. His vehicle was referred to Jahra Security Directorate and investigations are going on.

Traffic brawl: A citizen in his early 30s was severely injured as he fought with two brothers who hit his car in Shuwaikh Industrial Area.
Paramedics and securitymen rushed to the scene, following a distress call the Operations Room received about the episode and the injured man was carried to the Sabah Hospital. Securitymen arrested the other members of the feuding party and registered a case for investigation.

Hashish seized: Security officers from Mubarak Al-Kabeer apprehended an individual for the possession of hashish while patrolling the area late at night.
Sources said patrol officers had spotted the suspected inside a vehicle parked in front of a school and approached him for questioning.
They are said to have conducted a search inside the car after discovering the suspect wasn’t in normal condition and found hashish. He has since been referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.

Stolen car found: Securitymen on patrol found a car that had been reported missing by its owner two weeks earlier. Apparently, the thief abandoned the car at a desert location in Sabahiya.
Sources said the owner was called to identify the car after the officers towed it to Sabahiya police station. Investigation is on-going to arrest the suspect.

Police hunt burglar: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar, believed to be an Asian, for breaking into the home of a Kuwaiti man in Khaldiya and stealing furniture and electrical appliances, reports Al-Rai daily. The theft has been recorded by a CCTV camera. The daily did not give more details.
