Annual leave & leave salary calculation

I have been working in a private company for the last five years. Now I have decided to go on vacation. The management has told me that my leave salary will be calculated according to the new Labour Law from Feb 20, 2010. The earlier leave salary will be calculated according to the previous Labour Law at 14 days per year. My question: Is the management right? Will the new labor law be applied only from Feb 20, 2010 onwards? I have learnt that leave salary will be calculated from the date of joining as 30 days according to the new Labor Law. Which is correct?

Name withheld

Answer:
We have to wait for the bylaws to confirm how the leave policy has to be implemented. But all the major companies are calculating the leave until the date of the issuance of the new Labour Law (Feb 20, 2010) according to the old Labour Law and the period after that according to the new Labour Law. Most likely this will be the basis of the calculation of leave but we can’t confirm this is correct or not until the bylaws are issued. We don’t know when this will happen so we have been waiting for one year already.
