I have been working in a private company for two years. But suddenly the company has terminated me with a 15-day notice. My question is that the new Labor Law says the notice should be given before three months. Can I file a complaint against them? Can the company force me to transfer my residency with a one month notice?.

Answer: Any termination from Feb 20, 2010, the day the new Labor Law was published in Kuwait Gazette must be accompanied by a 3-month notice. If the company doesn’t want to keep you for 3 months it should pay you for that period. The company is wrong and you can file a case with the Labour Office in your area.
