Securitymen arrest 2 involved in KD 26,000 financial cases

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Security operatives from Mubarak Al-Kabeer arrested a citizen on Fahaheel Road for his involvement in a KD 21,000 financial case and many other cases, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A security source said the suspect became confused when the officers asked him to stop for checking and they discovered he was wanted for swindling and breach of trust after checking his details on computer. He was referred to concerned authority.
Similarly, two citizens were arrested at a checkpoint mounted by Ahmadi securitymen in Abu Halifa when they discovered a K D 5,000 financial case has been registered against the first suspect with the second suspect accused of abuse and libel.

Licenses to be revoked: The commercial licenses of companies found with spoiled food will be revoked, in cooperation with Ministry of Commerce and Industry, says the Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmed A-Sabih, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In a statement, Al-Sabih said the Ministry of Commerce is coordinating with the teams from Kuwait Municipality to monitor the violating companies that import or manufacture foodstuff to eliminate the trend.
He added the new bylaw on foodstuff will be completed soon and referred to the Municipal Council. He noted the council is committed to food and consumer safety.

Infiltration bid failed: Officers at the Al-Khafji Saudi Border arrested a man who tried to cut the fence that separates Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to infiltrate into the Kuwait territory illegally, reports Al-Anba daily.
The official spokesman of the Eastern Border Area, Colonel Mohamed Al-Ghamidi said the man was referred for interrogation immediately, while border patrol officers found a stranded two year old girl near Nisf Al-Qamar beach. The officers later handed the girl over to the parents.

Citizen held for drug use: Police arrested a 46-year-old Kuwaiti for consuming drugs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Kuwaiti was found unconscious inside his parked car in Omariya area. Acting on information, police and paramedics reached the scene and on checking, realized that the man took an overdose of drugs.
He was referred to authorities for further action.
