Securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate in possession of 117 bottles of alcohol named ‘Shastri’ in Ahmadi area, reports Al-Dar daily. Sources say when Director of Ahmadi Security Directorate Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali received a tip-off about the activities of the suspect, he formed a team to verify the information and arrest the suspect. The team put the man under surveillance and arrested him during a buy-bust operation. The Asian later admitted that he was providing liquor to people of all categories including females. He was referred to authorities.

Delivery boy robbed: An Asian expatriate working at a restaurant in Sulaibiya was attacked at knifepoint by four individuals and robbed of KD 120 and mobile phone, on the way to deliver food to a customer. However, securitymen couldn’t trace the thieves after the Asian reported the case to the Operations Room. A case was registered.

Bedoun stabbed: A Bedoun teena-ger sustained a stab wound in his shoulder after engaging in a fistfight with two other youths in Ardiya. Securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the location after receiving information on the fight.  They referred the injured to Farwaniya Hospital, while the other youths were taken to a nearby police station for questioning. 

Brother to cops: Securitymen arre-sted a Kuwaiti for consuming alcohol. Sources revealed the Kuwaiti’s brother called police when the latter created a scene at his house. The officers discovered he was under the influence of alcohol, so they referred him to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.

KD 17,000 cables stolen: A Min-istry of Electricity and Water (MEW) official assigned at a power station in Shuwaikh filed a report at the Shuwaikh Police Station on the alleged stealing of electric cables worth KD 17,000.
Securitymen rushed to the station and lifted fingerprints to identify the thieves.  A case was registered and investigations are in progress to arrest the culprits.

Drugs, liquor found: Security operatives apprehended a Kuwaiti man in possession of a finger of hashish and a bottle of imported liquor during regular patrol duty in Fintas area. Sources said the man aroused suspicion of the officers due to erratic manner he was driving and they found the items after conducting a search inside the car. He was referred to the relevant authority.
