‘My wife has betrayed, is cheating on me’ European drunkard attacks police
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Police arrested a European expatriate for consuming alcohol and attacking police, reports Al-Rai daily.
The drunkard was caught carrying a bottle of imported liquor on a street in Rumaithiya and he allegedly attacked policemen with a stick when they approached him.
The drunkard was referred to Al-Rumaithiya police station where he reportedly kept crying, saying his wife betrayed him and is cheating on him.
Cases of consuming alcohol and assaulting police have been registered against the man.
For money’s sake: Police are looking for a 20-year-old youth who allegedly threatened to kill his mother when she refused to give him money, reports Al-Anba daily.
The mother, believed to be in her 50s, filed a complaint at Waha Police Station in Jahra.
Illegals nabbed: Police arrested a number of employees of a restaurant in Jahra for violating residency law, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The violators (men and women) were seized when police launched a surprise campaign in the area. The violators were in a bus and the driver was found wanted by law on a crime related to drugs.
Drugs on youth: An Arab teenager found in possession of cannabis was arrested by policemen on patrol. Sources said the youngster was apprehended when the officers saw him wandering in Hawalli at night, in an abnormal condition.
Grocer turns thief: Police are looking for an unidentified grocer who ran away with cash and prepaid calling cards worth KD 2,500, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The grocer worked for a Kuwaiti man in Qurtoba and the latter filed a case at Surra police station.
Generators stolen: Unidentified people have stolen 15 power generators from many camp sites in Al-Jelaia, and several other cases have been registered in Mina Abdullah. A police source said detectives are stepping up efforts to apprehend the culprits, following the rising rate of generator thefts.
Fight over parking: Two Arab expatriates engaged in a fierce fight over a parking space in front of their apartment, and resulted in injuries to a 40-year old Egyptian after a stone was hurled at him. He was transferred to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment while police managed to control the situation. A case was registered in Khaitan police station.
