Forced resignation for Pregnancy

Can my company ask me to resign if I am pregnant?

I am working as a crew member and since I have come back from my pregnancy, my company doesn’t have any new training for me to refresh the certificates needed for my job. In this case, can the company ask me to resign instead of terminating me which entitles me to full indemnity?

Name withheld

Answer:
No, you can’t be forced to resign under any circumstances. They can, however, terminate you if they don’t require your services but they have to pay your full indemnity.

fit for jobSrivi | 2/3/2011 10:03:09 AM 1) Pregnancy is not the reason for termination 2) Non-availability of training course, company has to decide. 3) You should be fit for health instructor, as per your area of specialisation, to train athlets, after delivery. Health is more important for gym instructor. Company has to decide, all other impacts and factors, before terminating. But, you no need to resign by yourself. let the company terminate with 3 months notice. You have rights to continue your services, till company proves your health.
indemnitySrivi | 2/3/2011 9:28:31 AM whether you resigned or company terminated, you will get your settlement as per labour law. nothing to worry. I think, are you working in a Gym as Gym Instructor or flight crew ? If you are in Gym, the company not interested your services, then company can terminate with 3 months notice or salary, for non-availability of your training course.
