MPs warn minister against leniency in ‘jail sex’ case Army, police, Guard fatigues, revenue stamps for sale on footpath

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: MPs Mubarak Al-Waalan and Falah Al- Sawwagh have warned Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled against hiding facts and succumbing to the pressure of a lawmaker whose relative, a policeman in Nugra Police Station, is accused of abusing his authority and having sex with an Ethiopian woman in police custody, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the policeman urged the Ethiopian woman to have sex with him in return for allowing her to make calls from his cell phone, and took her to a room inside the police station which is not monitored by cameras.
A Bulgarian woman sharing the cell with the Ethiopian woman asked another policeman to inform his superiors about the incident; otherwise, she threatened, she would tell the story to officers at the deportation centre. The policeman then informed his superior who later referred the accused to the concerned authorities where he reportedly confessed his immoral act.

Sale on footpath: Police are looking for some Asians who were selling army, police and National Guard uniforms and five stamps belonging to government authorities at a stall in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, reports Al-Rai daily.
Farwaniya police confiscated the said items, but the Asians manning the stall escaped on foot seeing policemen. The stamps belong to Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Passports Department of the Interior Ministry. One of them belongs to the Head of the Labor Department in the Capital governorate. Also, 200 uniforms belonging to the army, police and National Guard were for sale.

Abusing Kuwait: Police arrested an expatriate restaurant worker for abusing Kuwait and its political leadership, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said corporal Ahmed Al-Zafiri, who works in the military, was having breakfast in a restaurant in Sulaibikhat when he overheard a conversation between the restaurant worker and a client on the events taking place in Egypt. When the customer left, the worker started talking to the restaurant’s cleaning worker and allegedly said bad things about Kuwait and its political leadership.
The corporal called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry and a police patrol headed by the chief of Sulaibikhat Police Station rushed to the place and arrested the expatriate and referred him to the State Security.

Drugs by chance:  Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested an Egyptian man in possession of drugs and referred him to Drugs Control Department, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was driving recklessly along the Sixth Ring Road when police demanded him to pull over and show his identification documents. While he was showing his ID, cigarettes rolled with hashish dropped from the car. Police then thoroughly searched the vehicle and found four more fingers of hashish.

Fight over loot:
Police arrested two youngsters for fighting in a market in Salmiya, reports Al-Rai daily.
Police had rushed to the place on receiving information and found that the fight was over KD 1,000. One of the youths was accusing the other of not paying him the said sum.
Interrogations later revealed that the two were partners in stealing from cars and had a dispute in sharing their loot from seven cars.

Jail SexFarah | 2/1/2011 9:02:30 AM I do hope that Kuwait Government impose a strict policy of those who abuse their power/authority. Policemen who commit this type of crime as being "greedy of flesh" must be put in jail, dismiss from work and pay fine for his victim. Im pretty sure it usually happened here but just a few have the voice to speak up.
