No grant for non-Kuwaiti kids

The children of Kuwaiti women who are married to non-Kuwaitis will not receive the Amiri grant of KD 1,000, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting a reliable source as saying.
The same source noted the expected salary increment for the military personnel will not include holders of other GCC states citizenship, indicating the increment will be exclusively for Kuwaiti personnel.
The source noted the GCC states neither consider the Kuwaiti army personnel in their own laws.
He refuted rumor about unspecified grants or salary increments being approved for personnel in other sectors.

hiKhadeeja | 1/31/2011 8:27:53 PM In Islam a child gets his heritage from the father, not the mother. Thats why if the woman marries a non kuwaiti the child will have his fathers nationality
No grant for non-Kuwaiti kids Bill Bowers | 1/30/2011 8:30:24 AM CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS IS? IF THEY WERE BORN IN KUWAIT AND HOLD A KUWAIT PASSPORT THEY SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO THE AMIR GRANT. CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHO IS A ACTUAL KUWAITI? BECAUSE THERE ARE VERY FEW. IN KUWAIT THE PEOPLE ARE MIXED WITH DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES. SO WHO IS THE ONE WHO DECIDES WHO GETS IT AND WHO DOES NOT? IF I AM RIGHT IN THE KUWAIT CONSTITUTION IT STATES ANYONE WHO IS BORN IN KUWAIT IS A KUWAITI BY BIRTH. I CAN SEE THIS GOING INTO THE COURTS. BECAUSE THAT IS A VIOLATION OF THE KUWAIT CONSTITUTION.
