Six Pakistanis held for playing cricket near transformer

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Six Pakistanis have been arrested by the police for playing cricket in the vicinity of a power transformer in Hawalli, reports Al-Shahed daily
 It has been reported a police patrol on duty in the area saw the door of a power transformer open and movement of some men inside. When the police went to investigate they saw the Pakistanis.
It is believed the Pakistanis may have been looking for a lost ball. They have been referred for investigation.

Daylight robbery: A GCC citizen whose identity has not been disclosed has filed a complaint with the police accusing three unidentified persons of stealing KD 19,000 from his car which was parked in Shuwaikh, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the police the man said he withdrew the money from a local bank branch and went to the wholesale market to buy stuff.
He parked the car at an unidentified location, left his teenage son in the car and went to buy drinking water.
When he returned the son told him three people threatened to beat him and walked away with the bag containing money.
Personnel from Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the thieves.

Women absconders: The Mubarak Al-Kabir securitymen have arrested two Asian women, one of them a hairdresser, who had been reported ‘absconders’ by their sponsors, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
According to sources, a police patrol on duty stopped the women as soon as they got out of a taxi and police discovered they had run away from their sponsors.
During interrogation they admitted to working as hair dressers offering home service.
