Reports on exam paper leak denied MoE to allocate KD 14,000 for each ‘unit’
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Director General of Ahmadi Educational Zone Talq Al-Haim denied reports about the alleged leak of English question paper of fifth grade at a school in the area, reports Al-Anba daily.
He clarified that at a certain school, questions papers of English II were wrongly distributed instead of English I papers. “We tackled the problem by cancelling that English II paper and got another question paper distributed,” he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Qualitative Education Mohammad Al-Kandari said admission in private schools for academic year 2011-2012 has started and will remain open until mid-May. Also, admission for students who were transferred by the committee studying special cases and those from government schools for hearing and sight disability be will open throughout the month of September, he added.
Al-Kandari further noted that students transferred from government schools to private schools for mental disability will be granted admission according to bylaws and on case by case basis.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education plans to allocate KD 14,000 for each examination control unit in all educational districts in Kuwait, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources.
During a meeting presided by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Tamadhor Al-Sdwairawy the ministry has also approved the transfer of authority of the new schools in the new Jaber Al-Ahmad area to the Capital Education District instead of the Al-Jahra district.
The meeting has also ordered the distribution of six school textbooks that have not been delivered as yet to students. The textbooks will be distributed directly to schools to avoid further delays.
