Syrian Manager rapes Jordanian saleswoman in weekend inventory Iranian caught selling opium

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Police have arrested a Syrian marketing manager working for a company in Abu Halifah for ‘raping’ a Jordanian saleswoman, reports Alam Alyawm.
In her complaint to the police the manager asked the victim to go to the store on her weekend to make inventory of the goods and taking advantage that he was alone with her, he raped her.
The complainant has been referred to Forensics.

Scandal in MoI: A scandal has been discovered in the Ministry of Interior, reports Alam Alyawm daily quoting knowledgeable sources.
The sources said a security police officer holding the rank of Lieut-Colonel and a securityman were sentenced to four years imprisonment for abusing their authority and detaining an expatriate and his wife and forcing them to transfer KD 1 million to a company.
The court verdict was issued on May 25, 2010 and ordered the two accused to pay KD 500 to suspend the sentence.
The securityman was suspended from work and the officer is still at work and has also been promoted to a higher rank.

Offer backfires: Police have arrested a 47-year-old Iranian for attempting to bribe a policeman, reports Al-Shahed daily.
This happened when the cop arrested the Iranian who had been sentenced in absentia for committing an unidentified offence.
To let him go, the Iranian allegedly gave the cop KD 88 but his offer backfired.

Iranian caught selling opium: An Iranian drug peddler who was found in possession of a kilo of opium and a scale was referred to prosecution, upon the orders of Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalifa.
A source said a team of detectives was formed to trail the suspect and an undercover agent managed to seal a deal with him to sell a quantity of opium for KD 200. He was reportedly arrested upon delivery of the drug.
He led securitymen to his home, where he confessed to selling drugs to inmates at the Central Prison.

Dad, son thieves: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified man and his son for stealing 300 kilos of iron, reports Al-Anba daily.
The duo was arrested while transporting the loot in their vehicle. They were allegedly on their way to sell the goods at the Amghara Scrapyard.
During interrogation they admitted to stealing the iron from a building construction site in Fintas.

Liquor trader nabbed: The Hawalli police have arrested an Asian man for trading in booze, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports a police patrol saw the Asian carrying a bag and when he saw the police vehicle, he tried in vain to escape.
Police have found in the bag 37 bottles of locally-made alcohol.

Missing with rent: Police are looking for an Indian man who is said to have gone missing after collecting KD 1,800 rent from tenants of a building on behalf of his sponsor, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The daily added a travel ban has been slapped on the suspect.
