KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: The total cost of power production is expected to rise to KD 2,520,000 daily due to continuous hike in the price of oil at the international market, which has currently exceeded 90 dollars per barrel, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Reliable sources were quoted as saying the Al-Sepia station project will boost power production by 1300 megawatts daily. They noted the ministry had procured heavy fuel for operation of the station recently, and roughly 28,000 barrels of the fuel will be required for daily power production in the course of the summer, amid expectations that the station will produce about 12,500 megawatts.
