Indian, Kuwaiti citizen found drunk
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: A 30-year-old Indian was found ‘unconscious’ near a former cinema theatre in Sulaibikhat Thursday. Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene and realized that the man had passed out after drinking liquor. He was referred to Sulaibikhat Police Station and a case was registered against him.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old Kuwaiti who was found unconscious inside a vehicle in a private parking lot in Riqqa has been detained at a police station.
When police were informed about the ‘victim’ paramedics and securitymen rushed to the spot and found the man was intoxicated.
Coal gas victims: Two Nepalese women fell unconscious after inhaling carbon monoxide in Yarmouk area. The women had lit coal in their room in their sponsor’s house to keep themselves warm at night.
Sources say when the Operations Room received information that two women were not responding, it dispatched securitymen and paramedics to the scene and they referred them to Amiri Hospital.
In a similar but separate incident, a 32-year-old Indian woman had to be referred to Mubarak Hospital after she too was found in a similar state in her room in her sponsor’s house in Jabriya. She too had lit coal to escape the biting cold.
Guard beaten, camp looted: A 38-year-old Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the police accusing unidentified persons of beating his Asian worker and stealing three tents, an electric motor and other valuable items from his camp.
In his complaint the man said the victim called him in the middle of the night to inform he had been attacked by some assailants.
He added when he reached the camp he found the worker bleeding from the head. He also had injuries all over his body.
The victim has given police details about the suspects and their vehicle. Police are looking for them.
Student bashed up: A 15-year-old student of a high school who was badly beaten by his colleagues has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.
Without going into details the daily said the student suffered injuries to the back.
Toddler drinks Clorox: A three-year-old girl was rushed to Mubarak Hospital after she drank Clorox in her house. Her family had initially rushed her to a clinic and when the doctor came to know that she drank the cleaning liquid, he called the Operations Room following which paramedics rushed to the scene and referred her to Mubarak Hospital.
