Traffic cop in molestation charge; From old to new wife Landmine blows apart shepherd
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: An Asian shepherd succumbed to severe injuries he sustained as a mine detonated at an unidentified location in Salmi. Based on the report, a rescue team was deployed to the place, while Criminal Evidences Men took the remains to Forensics. Security sources believe the bomb was a remnant from the Iraqi invasion. A case was registered.
Woman molested: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, is accusing a traffic police officer of molesting her.
The woman who is in her late 30s said the officer molested her while issuing a citation. However, the officer says the woman insulted him for issuing her a ticket and denies molesting her.
This happened when the officer was duty at a checkpoint and requested to see the driving license of the woman. The incident happened in Salmiya.
The officer then issued a traffic citation for the woman — reason not known — and at this point the woman got angry and went to the area police station and filed a complaint against the officer.
She states in her complaint the man touched her breasts. Both parties have been referred for interrogation.
From old to new wife: A Kuwaiti woman filed a case at a police station in Jahra and accused the ex-husband of stealing furniture inside her home, which he reportedly gave to his new wife.
According to the woman, the ex-husband broke into her home and stole the furniture. However, the husband has denied the charge when police called him for questioning.
‘Don’t fix their tyres’: During a security crackdown on reckless motorists, police from the Jahra Governorate are said to have arrested 23 motorists and seized their vehicles for making stunts and endangering the lives of other road users.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, security sources say the campaign will continue against reckless motorists to bring law and order to the governorate.
It has also been reported the security authorities have given instructions to all tyre repair shops not to repair the tyres of the cars of reckless motorists.
Students clash: A group of students from an unidentified government school in Waha are said to have engaged in fierce clashes after the first semester examination, resulting in serious injury to a 16-year old student who was reportedly stabbed by a member of the feuding party.
Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and referred the injured student to Jahra Hospital for medical care. A case has since been registered for investigation.
Man in narrow escape: A Kuwaiti citizen narrowly escaped death after inhaling coal he had set alight inside his room to keep warm in Waha area.
Brother of the victim is said to have notified the Operations Room, and paramedics arrived there to carry the citizen to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.
Motorist arrested: Police apprehended a motorist who hit a child in Waha area and escaped. Apparently, passers-by provided details of the suspect to policemen, and he was later arrested at a security checkpoint. He has since been referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.
Precious bird stolen: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 40s filed a case in Kabad police station and reported an expensive bird worth KD 3,800 was stolen from his pen. Police are on the lookout for the thief, while the case has been registered.
