Friend is thief

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Police have arrested one suspect and are looking for six other accomplices for breaking into a shop in Salhiya and stealing KD 4,280 cash after threatening to stab the salesman with a knife, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports when the owner of the shop filed a complaint with the police, the latter asked to see the CCTV footage and the manager recognized one of the thieves. He turned out to be a good customer and friend of the owner.
When police took him into custody he gave information about the accomplices.

Drug peddlers held
: The Salwa police have arrested three people for trafficking in hashish, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports police acting on information set a trap for the suspects and caught them red-handed while selling hashish to a police agent. Police then recovered the marked police money from the suspects and referred them to the authorities. Police are said to have also seized 250 grams of hashish from the home of one of the suspects.

Cars broken into: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into seven cars of students and a teacher of a high school for boys in Abdullah Al-Mubarak and stealing cell phones, wallets and other stuff, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the thieves took advantage of the situation and were well aware that the students and teachers will be busy with examinations.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Wanted man nabbed: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar for breaking into lockers of foreigners inside a well-known hotel in Jahra, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police have asked to see the CCTV camera to nab the thieves. In the meantime personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
