KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13, (KUNA): Temperatures throughout Kuwait ebbed over the past hours dropping to the freezing point in some regions and islands.

The country was affected over the past days with Siberian gales, turning the temperatures very cold in the morning and moderately cold throughout the day, with the winds turning northwesterly at night times.
The winds are forecast to turn southeasterly with predicted hike of humidity, with forming clouds and relative hike of the temperatures on Friday and Saturday.

More clouds are expected to be formed Friday with chances of scattered rain on Saturday, along with active southeasterly winds as well as high waves at sea.

The temperature is forecast to reach 23 degrees on Saturday, before the northwesterly cold winds blow anew on Sunday, thus dropping again lower than the level of 20 degrees.
Ramadan affirmed that the country would witness scattered rain by the end of the week with forecast higher quantities compared to the recent showers.

Dryness had been the lowest to be recorded in the country in the Fall and early winter since the 50s, he indicated.
