Baby delivery - Husband on Visit Visa

My husband is in Kuwait on a visit these days, and I have become pregnant.

I have following questions:

1. Will there be any problem with the delivery of the baby and will there be any legal complication?

2. Can I keep the baby in Kuwait, if so what is the procedure?

Answer: You should have no problem in delivering the baby in Kuwait as long as you have your Marriage Certificate and a copy of the Visit Visa to prove your husband was in Kuwait.
You, however, will not be allowed to keep the baby in the country as only the father can sponsor his children.

You will not face any legal problems as long as you take the baby out of the country within 60 (sixty) days of its birth. You will during this time have to get its Birth Certificate from the authorities and Passport from your embassy for the child. Then, you have to go to the Immigration Department to take permission to take the child out of the country.

Remember, you have only 60 days to take the child out of Kuwait or you will run into legal complications which could take many weeks or even months to resolve.

Yeah, You canZameer | 2/28/2011 6:38:34 PM Dear, You can very well deliver the baby here and can sponsor the baby as well. You should have salary kd 250/- or above. You just need the NOC from the husband. The rule applies here is that the husband (Father of the baby) is not in Kuwait and the mother is working thus u have the rights to sponsor the baby. There is one option in the application which can clearly give the detail that the father is not the resident of KWT. God bless.

If she is in a legal marriage and her salary is taken into consideration, why can't she sponsor? Only because she is a woman? Husband can sponsor your child, if both are inside kuwait, salary not important. till husband get job, pay 2 kd per day fine for child residency. try job for husband. keep baby inside kuwait. Bring husband on visit visa, during delivery time, and change to work visa, after entering inside kuwait. possible.

Dont take riskSrivi | 1/10/2011 9:06:48 AM if you miss any one of the documents, to prove, the child is genuine, then you will be in trouble, upto police and deportation. Better vacate kuwait, on 8th month of pregnancy, delivery in your country and leave child in own country, to avoid harassment from all departments. 1) hospital will not allow, both husband and wife civil id and marriage copy. 2) birth certificate, without husband civil id copy, not allowed. 3) a lady cannot sponosr baby, you cannot keep baby, with out husband. 4) within 60 days, you cannot leave, after delivery, at risk, of health problem 5) you can escape from one dept, not from all ministries, to convince, child is genuine. better delivery in your own country, apply for new visa, for child. If approved, bring to kuwait. otherwise, let the child grow with father. It is bad time. you decide your future. but possible, to bring the child in new visa, if approved by jawazat manager.
