KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: Police arrested two cross-dressers in Salmiya. Sources say patrols on routine duty stopped two girls who were roaming at a late hour and were shocked on learning that they were actually boys. The shocking discovery was made by looking at their civil IDs.
Rumour holds up traffic: Vehicular movement was blocked on the Chalets road following a rumor that US forces had killed an unidentified person who allegedly intercepted a military convoy belonging to the US Army, reports Al-Rai daily.
Informed security sources denied all such rumors and said there was a transfer of ammunition to the US Army camp on the King Fahd Motorway and this called for presence of helicopters to ensure the safe transfer of ammunition.
Sources said police patrols closed King Fahd Motorway to ensure the safety of road users and added that the closure of the motorway and the presence of the helicopters helped in the spread of the rumor.
Al-Watan Arabic daily said the Ministry of Interior decided to halt the transferring of ammunition to Arifjan military camp for three days to avoid traffic problems to people traveling to Saudi Arabia or visiting the chalets.
The US high command also denied rumors about US forces’ killing a Syrian for intercepting a US military convoy, saying the information is unfounded.

A police source said securitymen arrested the man in Mina Abdullah because he was wanted by law on several charges. However, his friend allegedly opened the car of the police vehicle and helped the man to escape.
Worker found with gun: Guards at the Arifjan military camp have recently referred an Asian employee to the authorities for carrying a revolver and ammunition rounds, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
