Police imposter robs Filipino Pakistani worker falls to death

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: A 40-year-old Pakistani worker fell to his death from an under construction building in Farwaniya, say sources.
Securitymen and paramedics had rushed to the location on receiving information and referred the victim’s remains to Forensics.

Filipino mugged: A Filipino in his 40s filed a complaint, saying a man impersonating a police officer escaped with his wallet containing    KD 266 and other identity cards.
The complainant said when he was walking on a street at a late hour, a vehicle stopped near him and the impersonator flashed a card and claimed he was a police officer. The impersonator then asked for his ID card and when the victim took out his wallet, the suspect took it and said he will check the information on his computer and return it back. But he allegedly got into his car and escaped with the wallet.
Securitymen noted down the description of the suspect and details of his vehicle and circulated the information to all checkpoints.

‘We are celebrating’: Ahmadi police arrested two Asians for consuming alcohol and recovered three bottles of alcohol from their possession.
Policemen on patrol duty noticed the men sitting in a ‘strange’ manner at a public place and decided to check their identity documents. As police were approaching, one of the men threw away a bag. Policemen quickly came to know that the men were drunk and arrested them. They also checked the bag and found three bottles of alcohol in it. The Asians later confessed that they were celebrating the New Year.
Sources say police patrols have been deployed in all governorates to stop the illegal activities that usually increase during festive occasions.

Revenge taken on car: A Kuwaiti man in his 20s filed a complaint at Sabah Salem Police Station, accusing three men of vandalizing his car.  The complainant said he had fights with the suspects and they tried to get back at him by damaging his car.
He said the vehicle has been damaged completely and added that even the wheels were not spared. Securitymen noted down the details of the suspects and will summon them for investigations.

Kuwaiti injured in fight: A Kuwaiti, 21, was injured in a fight he had with three other compatriots in Ardiya area Thursday.
He was referred to Farwaniya Hospital. Securitymen are waiting for him to recover sufficiently in order to start investigations and find out the cause and the identity of the other three involved in the fight. The other men had escaped before the arrival of policemen. 

Kuwaiti caught drunk: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man, 44, for driving under the influence of liquor on Sixth Ring Road, opposite Amghara Bridge, and recovered two bottles of imported liquor from him. The Kuwaiti was referred to authorities.
