Dig labourer attacks maid in rape attempt Bangladeshi kills self in school bus
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: Police have arrested an unidentified worker for attempting to have sex with a housemaid inside the house of her sponsor in Mubarak Al-Kabir area, reports Al-Rai daily.
It has been reported the worker was digging ground in front of the house. When he saw the maid he reportedly approached her under some pretext and embraced her and attempted to kiss her.
The maid screamed for help and the sponsor caught the worker and handed him over to police.
Long hands of the law: Anti-narcotics officers arrested a Pakistani on Wednesday for trading in drugs. Acting on a tip-off, Director General of the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) Major General Ahmad Al-Khalifa instructed a team of officers to put the suspect under surveillance. The team later discovered the suspect deals with his ‘clients’ only by phone and does not meet them in person. He usually specifies a drop-off point for his buyers to put the money and then he leaves the drugs in the same place.
After gathering enough evidence, the team arranged an entrapment, resulting in the Pakistani’s arrest. He tried to escape but the officers overpowered him. They also found an undisclosed quantity of drugs in his underwear. He was referred to the concerned security department for prosecution.
Car thieves held: The Sulaibiya police have arrested four juveniles for stealing cars, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The theft came to light following their arrest in Sulaibiya while driving recklessly.
According to reports when police were checking their documents and car registration book, they discovered the car they were driving was reported stolen by the owner.
They were also found wanted by law in connection with several crimes.
Bangladeshi kills self: A Bangladeshi committed suicide by hanging inside a school bus parked in Farwaniya on Wednesday.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving a call from a passerby who saw the Bangladeshi inside the bus. When they arrived at the location, they discovered the Bangladeshi was already dead.
His remains were referred to Forensics.
A case was registered and investigations are underway to determine the actual circumstances that prompted him to end his own life.
Liquor peddler held: The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian man for allegedly trading in locally-manufactured booze and seized from him 12 bottles of booze.
This happened when a police patrol suspected the man while driving along a road in Salmiya at a late hour.
When police asked the man for his ID and checked his name on the computer they discovered he had been sentenced in absentia and also wanted by law in several other crimes.
He has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
Sorcery tools found: Police arrested an Indian man in Hassawi for the possession of sorcery tools.
While patrolling the area, police noticed the odd behavior of an Indian man walking late at night.
The officers stopped him for inspection. They did not find any case registered against him when they checked his security records. However, when they inspected his bag, they found some sorcery tools. He was taken to a nearby police station for questioning.
Illegal for 15 years: The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentified Iranian man for staying illegally in the country for 15 years. He was arrested in Salmiya.
He has been referred to concerned authorities.
Smuggling bid foiled: Securitymen at the Central Jail arrested a Kuwaiti, in his 30s, for trying to smuggle two rolls of hashish into the prison.
A security officer got suspicious while checking the Kuwaiti during visitation hours at the jail. He then searched the Kuwaiti thoroughly to verify his suspicion and this led to the discovery of two rolls of hashish.
The Kuwaiti was referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.
