Head of Diabetes Unit at Amiri Hospital Dr Abdul Al-Nabi Al-Attar said the Ministry of Health (MoH) will release a new drug for the treatment of diabetes to replace Avandia which was banned recently, reports Al-Anba daily.
He said the new drug, whose scientific name is Biogeilitazone, is as effective for diabetes as Avandia.
Furthermore, Al-Attar denied that ‘Januvia’ has replaced the ‘Insulin’ drug.
