11 prostitutes, 8 pimps nabbed Student, teacher in row over political standoff

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: A female professor at the Kuwait University was reportedly humiliated and abused by a student when the professor commented on the current political situation and the recent events and put the blame on tribal lawmakers, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported several students protested the criticism and one of them stood up, went to the professor, ignored her threats that she can be dismissed for her behavior and flung her handbag at the professor.
The student then complained to the Head of the Section and the problem was solved amicably.

Prostitutes nabbed: The Farwaniya police during a five-hour crack down on residence law violators are said to have arrested 11 Asian prostitutes and eight pimps, reports Alam Alyawm daily
Police have also arrested 33 expatriates wanted by the General Immigration Department and 29 for violating residence law.
All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Son reports father: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who is believed to be in his 50s for failing to pay KD 6,000 debt, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports an unidentified person called the police and said the man wanted by law is at a popular café. He also told police if the call is a hoax he will be fully liable for legal action.
When police rushed to the café they found the man, took him in custody and handed him over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
Surprisingly, the police later discovered it was the man’s son who informed police his father was inside a café.
He said his father does not deserve to be free and has to fulfill his debts.

Greek caught drunk: The Vital Establishment Security police have arrested a Greek citizen for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Anba daily.
The drunkard was caught at the gate of the Ahmadi Port while attempting to enter a company. Police have allegedly seized from him two bottles of imported booze.
On the other hand, police have arrested two Indians who were high on alcohol. They were sitting inside a car in the parking lot of the Al-Sabah Hospital. They have been referred to the Shuwaikh Police Station.

Endangering lives:
Police have arrested a Kuwaiti youth for endangering the lives of other motorists, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the arrest came when an employee of the Ministry of Interior saw the youth pouring oil at the Sabah Al-Salem roundabout and informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
Police rushed to the spot, arrested the youth and referred him to the authorities. During interrogations he admitted to the charge and said he enjoyed seeing cars slide off the road.
