GCC citizen arrested for selling visas to expats at KD 1,000 each

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Securitymen recently arrested a GCC national for selling visas to expatriates for KD1,000 each.
Acting on a tip-off, Director-General of the General Immigration Department Major General Abdullah Al-Rashed formed a team of securitymen tasked to arrest the suspect.  The team put the GCC national under surveillance for quite some time before raiding his apartment in which they found six commercial licenses of bogus companies.  The officers also discovered there are 60 expatriate workers holding residence permits registered under the suspect’s bogus companies.
The team referred the suspect to the concerned security department, which also blacklisted the workers under his sponsorship.
In another development, the director of Ahmadi Immigration Department is said to have referred an Arab employee for investigation after catching him in the act of making an exemption clearance for an applicant and pocketing the money the latter paid for the illegal transaction.

Woman assaulted: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a case with the Taima police accusing her GCC husband of assaulting her, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to reports the wife went to the police station and accused her husband of beating her. When she was asked to go to a hospital to bring a medical report, she refused and instead went home.
However, a little while later she returned back and said she is suffering from permanent physical disability. The daily did not give more details.

Pay salary on time: Police have arrested an unidentified Iranian man for battering his Kuwaiti sponsor and damaging the contents of a shop inside a shopping complex in Jahra, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports this happened because the Kuwaiti delayed in paying the man’s salary.
Acting on information security men rushed to the shop and took the Iranian into custody. Police investigations are underway.
