17 youths head shaved for harassing women in malls Bangladeshi nationals in drug trade business
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Jahra police arrested 17 youths for harassing women at shopping malls and on streets in the area and referred them to authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The arrests were made during an intensive campaign in the area and sources say police shaved the heads of all arrested youths.
Bangladeshis nabbed: Securitymen arrested two Bangladeshis for trading in marijuana, reports Al-Anba daily.
The Bangladeshis were put under surveillance for some time and arrested during a buy-bust operation while selling 150 grams of marijuana to a police agent with marked police money.
Police also recovered about two kilograms of marijuana from the traffickers’ house and referred them to Public Prosecution.
Brothers in brawl: Two brothers have been admitted to the Jahra Hospital following a nasty fight between them, reports Al-Rai daily. A police source said one brother, who was high on alcohol, started abusing his mother and other brothers and even attempted to attack them. Another brother then tried to stop the drunk and got involved in a physical fight with him. It is reported that the drunk brother was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with serious injuries.
Ex-wife thrashed: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for assaulting his compatriot ex-wife while she was sitting at a café in Sharq, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Sources say the man lost composure on seeing his ex-wife and started beating her. She was referred to the Amiri Hospital and the man was sent to police station.
Policemen beaten: Police arrested a Bedoun for attacking two police officers and a lance corporal, reports Al-Anba daily.
Securitymen noticed a woman speeding up on approaching a police check post in Amghara and chased her. The man in the front seat, who claimed to the woman’s husband, reportedly attacked patrolmen.
Pharmacists insulted: Police have arrested two Kuwaiti individuals for insulting pharmacists at the Amiri Hospital and for attempting to attack policemen, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry received a call from the pharmacists, saying two Kuwaitis were trying to enter the pharmacy through the back door. When police rushed to the scene, the men tried to attack the policemen.
