Asian caught for selling porn CDs 15 caught teasing girls KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: Police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for trading in porno films.According to a security source a police patrol saw the suspect carrying a bag and when police checked it they found 250 CDs of immoral films. During interrogation the suspect admitted to selling the films. He has been referred to the authorities.
Meanwhile, the Ardhiya police have arrested an unidentified youth who is believed to be in his 20s for drinking alcohol. He was taken into custody from the parking lot of the cooperative society in the area. He was allegedly making stunts with his vehicle and tried to escape when he saw a police patrol car. In an attempt to escape he allegedly collided with a cement barrier.
In another development, a 63-year-old Lebanese man who was involved in a fight with an unidentified person is Hawalli has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital. Without going into details the daily said the other person has been arrested by the police.
15 caught teasing girls : In a continuing crackdown on reckless motorists and eve-teasers police are said to have arrested 15 youths for causing nuisance in front of the Business Studies Institute in Hawalli. All those arrested have been referred to the authorities.
Missing youth found: Police have taken into custody a 20-year-old Kuwaiti on whom a missing persons report had been filed by his father at a police station. The youth was caught at late hour in company of three other youths. When police checked the details of the youths they discovered the youth was reported missing by his father at a police station in Mubarak Al-Kabir. He has been referred to the authorities for interrogation.
Power generator stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing an electric generator from the home of a Kuwaiti man in Taima, Jahra. In his complaint to the police the Kuwaiti said the theft occurred during the night. He put the value of the generator at KD 400.
Iron thieves caught: Securitymen arrested three expatriates for stealing iron from under construction houses in Saad Al-Abdullah. After receiving a number of complaints that some unidentified persons have been stealing iron from the construction sites, securitymen launched a surprise inspection campaign Wednesday. During the campaign, they noticed a half-lorry near one of the under construction houses late at night. The security team then followed the lorry, which was loaded with iron and was heading towards Amghara scrapyard.
To verify their suspicions, the officers signalled the driver to pull over for inspection. When they approached the vehicle, the officers discovered the driver had two companions and they all looked confused. The three suspects later admitted to stealing the iron from the construction sites with the intention to sell their loot at the scrapyard. A case was registered and the suspects were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
Kuwaiti hurt in accident: Acting on information paramedics and police rushed to Shaab and referred an unidentified Kuwaiti man to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital. He was injured in a traffic accident. No details are available.
