KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: An Indian maid, aged 31, tried to commit suicide by stabbing herself in the stomach in her sponsor’s house in Bayan area. Sources say when her sponsor heard her loud cry, he   rushed to her room and saw the ghastly sight.
The woman was referred to Mubarak Hospital and a case of attempted suicide was registered against her.

Efficient guards: Two security officers at Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) recently filed an assault case against the director of the authority at Sulaibikhat Police Station.
It has been reported the officers refused to grant the director entry to the port because he had no pass at that time, even if they know he is the director of the authority.  The director got furious and attacked the two officers.
Sources revealed the director forgot his pass as he was in a hurry to go and check the burning ship at the port but the officers did not allow him to enter.

Asian caught drunk: Hawalli police arrested an Asian, 20, for consuming alcohol. The expatriate was found sleeping near a cooperative society branch in Hatteen.
Within an hour, the Operations Room received information that another Asian man was lying unconscious opposite a grocery store in Jabriya.
Policemen rushed to the place and realized that the Asian had passed off after consuming alcohol.
The drunk was referred to Jahra Police Station and a case was registered.

Drunkard hits 3 cars: An inebriated Asian expatriate crashed into three parked cars in Doha area Saturday afternoon. Acting on information, securitymen rushed to the scene, arrested the drunk and referred him to Sulaibikhat Police Station. A case was registered against the man.

Man punched, faints: A 35-year-old Bangladeshi fell unconscious after receiving a punch from his compatriot in the Friday Market in Al-Rai. Paramedics, acting on information, rushed to the scene and referred the man to Farwaniya Hospital. Sources say there was a dispute between both men.

Injuries in fight over girl: A 24-year-old Kuwaiti was injured in a fight that broke out among some youths in a shopping mall in Fahaheel area. He was referred to Adan Hospital.
Sources say the fight took place over a girl. Two of those involved in the fight have been arrested and police are summoning the others, they added.

Egyptian attacked, hurt: Two youths attacked a 27-year-old Egyptian in Naseem area and escaped. The victim suffered an injury in the forehead and was referred to Jahra Hospital.
