Burgan Bank hosts Kuwait University College of Women students Burgan Bank amongst the leading and the most dynamic bank in the state of Kuwait recently hosted students from Kuwait University-College of Women at its head office. Thirty students studying Management Information System at the college attended presentation program specially prepared by the Information Technology (IT) department of the bank. Ivan Jensen: Chief Information Technology Officer said, “We are extremely delighted to host these young women to our office today where they were shown the technology used by the bank. These bright students are the future IT officers of the country and it was indeed a pleasure interacting with them and explaining the dynamics of the banking industry.”
Students were briefed about the bank and technology used, followed by a site visit to the Data Centre. IT Operations Manager & Senior System Administrator from the bank focused on various topics ranging from Database and Management access, Computer Network and Communications, Information System management, Web Development and design and Computer programming and Computer structure. Bashir Jaber — Burgan Bank Acting Chief Marketing Officer added: “As part of Burgan Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Burgan Bank regularly hosts and visits students talking and explaining to them about the banking industry, at the start of summer the bank also welcomed a number of student interns, Burgan Bank is committed to supporting the education sector, which has been a key component of its CSR framework and philosophy”.
